The holiday villa is an individually designed Mediterranean style holiday villa which has breathtaking and unobstructed views across Souda Bay towards Chania and across to the Rodopou Peninsula with the spectacular White Mountains all in one eye-line.
Entrance: through the mature gardens to the covered porch. A half glazed aluminum door opens into the main living area.
Living/dining room: This is a spacious and light "L" shaped room with a hand-crafted stone arch defining the dining and living rooms. To the rear of the room is the staircase to the upper and lower floors and to the front are 2 sets of double patio doors each opening on to the seaward facing veranda. A stone fireplace is one of the focal points of the living room, but the real eye-catching feature is the stunning view across the gardens to the sea.
Front veranda: This vast area has columns and a tiled roof which creates an outside living space.
Bordered with various herbs and perfumed shrubs this is a perfect external seating area - shaded in
the day and sheltered in the evenings. A feature arch in the end wall gives glimpses of the side garden and there are sun-blinds to protect the area from the Cretan breezes.
Kitchen: the large kitchen is completely separate but located conveniently next to the dining area.
Fully fitted floor and wall cupboards in dark blue paneled wood and fitted with stainless steel
appliances & integrated fridge/freezer and dishwasher the room is a well organized "U" with views from the sink to the sea. A glazed door opens onto a large breakfast terrace which offers access to the gardens and has magnificent mountain views.
Bedroom 1: this is a good sized double room currently set out with twin beds and a buit-in cupboard. Patio doors provide access to the side terrace which is sheltered from the sun by a tiled pergola.
Shower room: A shower-room tiled in pale jade green and cream with hand-basin and WC in classic white completes the ground floor.
Staircase: A classic sweeping marble staircase with decorative wrought iron banisters leads to the
first floor hallway.
Bathroom: a spacious bathroom with extra large bath is located to the left of the stairs. Fittings again are white ceramic and the tiles are two toned jade.
Bedrooms 2 & 3: Both 1st floor bedrooms are good sized doubles with floor-to-ceiling wardrobes in
light beech-wood. Both also have stunning sea and mountain views and have access to the first floor
Basement: From the living room an internal staircase leads to the basement where there
is a washing machine.
External: The property is totally enclosed with wrought iron gates for both access points in the
attractive boundary stone wall. Elsewhere walls and fencing define the boundaries
Garden and terraces: The gardens are fully landscaped with mature shrubs plus productive fruit and olive trees. The outside living areas include shaded seating terrace set in the trees, large side terrace half of which has a tiled pergola and the huge covered veranda to the front of the house which looks out across the pool to Souda Bay.
Pool: the tiled and graduated private pool (9x4 swim area) is surrounded by plentiful sun terraces and is bordered by a fragrant herb garden.

Villa Delfini is located between the traditional villages of Kambia and Kokkino Chorio (or the Red Village) which was used in the famous "Zorba the Greek" film starring Anthony Quinn.The house is within easy walking distance from a well stocked mini market and the local tavernas. More shops, restaurants and cafes are within 5 minutes drive at Plaka and Almyrida. Sandy beaches at Almyrida and Kalives are minutes away. It is in an ideal location for generally exploring the picturesque villages of the Apokoronas and the surrounding area
