The Beautiful Beaches of Paros Island

Although it is a small Greek island it has stunning beaches for every preferences. From small and private to large and organized , sandy or pebbled, easy to reach or completely secluded.
Kolymbithres and Santa Maria beaches are the closest beaches to Naoussa. Pounta beach is very popular beach for younger visitors, while beaches on the south eastern side of Paros island, like Golden Beach and New Golden Beach, are very popular for water sport activities.

Sightseeing and Activities in Paros Island

You can enjoy swimming, diving, surfing and even participate in surfing cup that are frequently organized in the Island. The island has also a long and rich history and it is worth to visit and sight see the wonderful Byzantine church of Panagia Ekatontapyliani in Parikia. While in Parikia you can also visit the Venetian Castle there which keeps the original architecture and style of the era.

From Parikia you can take a short hike on the top of a hill with view to the Aegean Sea, and you will see the Ancient Sanctuary of Asklepios, the healing god of the ancient Greeks. Findings from this spot and other excavations are also found at the Archaeological Museum in Parikia.
